Driver's
Licenses
Issued by the state, Arizona driver's licenses are required for
newcomers as soon as residency has taken place -- there is no grace
period. Proof is needed of age and identity (previous driver's license,
birth certificate, or other documents). With a valid drivers license
from another state, one must pass a vision test to obtain an Arizona
driver's license. As of July 1993, driver's license fees and duration
are based on the age of the applicant.
